Biography
Adrianna DiRisio is a performance scholar and educator, with a professional history of stage management and dramaturgy. Her research focuses on intercultural performance and performance as a cultural product, with an expertise on Chinese performance practices. Her doctoral research details venues in Shanghai and how they are used to construct Shanghai as a global city, reinforcing the city’s position as China’s gateway to modernity.
