Biography

Alyssa Goudy is a professional academic advisor who oversees the academic careers of undergraduate students in the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies. She also serves as the records specialist in the VPA Office of Academic and Career Advising.

She earned a B.A. in English (creative writing) and theatre arts from Le Moyne College, where she focused on Shakespeare performance and literature, Commedia Dell’Arte, and stage management and served as editor-in-chief of the college’s literary magazine The Salamander. Her work was recognized with the Father John P. Lahey Award in Writing, a Newhouse Award for Creative Writing and an Honorable Mention in Stage Management from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF).

Goudy completed an M.Ed. in learning design and technologies and a graduate certificate in instructional design and program evaluation at Arizona State University. Prior to joining Syracuse University, she worked in academic technology and instructional design at Le Moyne College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Associated Medical Professionals of New York.
