Biography

Laura Heyman is an artist and curator. She received an M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1998.

Her current photographic project, “The Photographer’s Wife,” has been widely exhibited in group and solo exhibitions at the Deutsch Polen Institute, Darmstadt, Germany; Ampersand International Arts, San Francisco; Senko Studio, Viborg, Denmark; the Laguna Art Museum, Los Angeles; and the National Portrait Gallery, London, among others.

Her most recent curatorial project, “Who’s Afraid of America,” featuring work by Justyna Badach, Larry Clark, Cheryl Dunn, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Zoe Strauss and Tobin Yelland, was exhibited at Wonderland Art Space, Copenhagen, Denmark, in November 2008.
