Thom Miller

Biography

Thom Miller is a professional actor, singer, dialect coach and teaching artist.

Some favorite regional performance credits include “Fly More Than You Fall” (World Premiere - NOORDA Center for the Performing Arts); “Once: The Musical” (Northern Stage); “Company” (Writers Theatre); “Reasons To Be Pretty” (Studio Theatre); “The Last Five Years” (Denver Center for the Performing Arts); “My Fair Lady,” “The Winter’s Tale” and “Henry IV: Part One” (Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre); “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Love’s Labour’s Lost” and “Richard II” (Illinois Shakespeare Festival); “Hair” (Prince Music Theater); “Macbeth” and “Cymbeline” (Texas Shakespeare Festival); “Mad Love,” “Boeing Boeing,” “Deathtrap,” “I Hate Hamlet,” “Moon Over Buffalo” and “Dancing at Lughnasa” (Northern Stage); and “The Music Man” and “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” (New London Barn Playhouse). Miller received a B.F.A. in acting from University of North Carolina School of the Arts and an M.F.A. in acting from the University of Illinois, where he also received the award for Departmental Distinction. A proud member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA, he has acted in independent films, regional commercials and skits on the David Letterman Show. For his performance work, Miller has received standout reviews in many newspapers across the country, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and the Chicago Tribune, as well as been nominated and received Broadway World Regional Awards and the New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor.

As a dialect coach, Miller has worked on film sets with international casts as well as on off-Broadway and regional theatrical productions.
