Alpha O. Newberry

Biography

Alpha Newberry is a photographer and filmmaker. His photographic discipline springs from an enduring interest in the natural world, how its comprehension escapes us and how its presence can be felt and expressed.

As a filmmaker, he has worked extensively and across departments on sets ranging from small documentaries to nationally-aired television shows with budgets in the tens of millions of dollars. He has a B.A. in philosophy and Spanish from Wabash College and is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in art photography at Syracuse, where he teaches photography and film and manages the facilities and equipment cage.
