Biography

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Tony Solomons has spent the past 30 years in Los Angeles working as an editor in the film and television industry.

His undergraduate years were split between Syracuse University and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a B.F.A. He continued his education at The American Film Institute, where he received an M.F.A. in film editing.

Solomons has numerous feature film and television credits, including “Scream,” “Vampire Diaries” and “Cruel Intentions.” In recent years, he has also begun producing and directing network and streaming television series. He is the author of “The Avid Digital Editing Room Handbook” and has been an editing adjunct professor at the University of Southern California since 1996.
