Biography

Ida Tili-Trebicka, a Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame artist, has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and China as orchestral soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.

Invited by the Italian Federation of Women of Professions, Arts and Affairs and the University Ancona, she has performed solo recitals in Ancona, Italy. She has also performed at the Galleria dell Accademia in Florence, at the Philharmonic Hall of Beijing, as well as Xi-An, Guilin and Guangzhou Universities in China. She has also performed in Haarlem, Netherlands, Portugal, and St Georges Cathedral in Kingston, Ontario. She presents and performs in various music conferences, including European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) Conference, Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), NYSTA, Song Collaborators Consortia, etc.

Trebicka performs all over the United States. In New York City, she has performed Merkin Hall of Kauffman Center, Tenri Cultural Center, Victor Borge Hall at the Scandinavian House and Symphony Space. In 2022 and 2024, her students performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall in New York City.

Trebicka has given concerts at Boston University’s Concert Hall; Houston, Texas; Davis, California; Hartford Community College, Connecticut; Hamilton College in Clinton, New York; Utica University Concert Series; North Texas University; Adirondacks Concert Series at the View Center for the Arts; North Carolina Bach Festival; and Music by Women Festival at the Mississippi University for Women, to name a few. Invited by the Albanian-American Association of Houston, Texas, as well as the Massachusetts Albanian American Society “Besa” (MASSBESA), she has performed concerts to benefit the Albanian American Heritage School.

As a scholar and educator, Trebicka has presented master classes at Tirana University of Arts, European University of Tirana, Tefta Tashko Koco School of Arts in Korca, Albania, Le Moyne College, Hamilton College, European University of Tirana, DEA School for the Arts in Staten Island, New York, Fisher Center in New York City, Booker T. Washington in Dallas, SCI Convention in Washington D.C., etc. She is in demand as a judge in various competitions such as MTNA, Federation of Music Clubs, Capital Region Chopin Competition, Songs of Motherland International Competition in Ksamil, Albania, CONEJO Valley MTA, BMTG International Competition, Golden Keys Music Festival and Competition, Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music Youth Competition, Civic Morning Musicals/Syracuse Symphony Youth Competition, and more. This past May, Trebicka participated at the GjiroClassica International Festival and judged the Tempo Competition in Albania.

Trebicka believes in serving the community we are part of. Therefore, she volunteers her time and talent by serving on various arts organizations, such as the board of directors at Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music and Civic Morning Musicals. She is a member of MTNA and Central New York Association of Music Teachers (CNYAMT). For her tireless work in Central New York promoting music, she was inducted at The Steinway Teachers Hall of Fame in New York City in October 2025. She was awarded the Ovation Award by Syracuse Sounds of Music Association in 2019 and has received the Top Teacher award by Steinway and Sons.

She is a teaching professor of piano and coordinator of the piano department in the Setnor School of Music at Syracuse University, where she was honored with the Faculty Award of Excellence.
