February 7-March 1, 2025
Opening Reception: Friday, February 7, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
"Overture" celebrated the new and innovative work created by the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ (VPA) renowned full- and part-time faculty from the School of Art, Department of Creative Arts Therapy, School of Design, Department of Drama, Department of Film and Media Arts and Setnor School of Music. On view was a range of media and conceptual practice that includes ceramics, illustration, jewelry, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, set design, textile and video. The work responded to and ruminated on a myriad of themes and concepts that interact with our collective humanity from environmentalism to socio-political current events and explorations of technology.

"Unforeseen" was a three-part exhibition featuring works from 32 master of fine arts (M.F.A.) candidates from the School of Art and the Department of Film and Media Arts in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Featuring artwork from over 40 undergraduate students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts' School of Art and Department of Film and Media Arts.
The exhibition marks a culmination of artistic exploration and academic rigor. The art on display represents many forms of artmaking, including animated film, drawing, digital illustration, film, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video art. Participating programs include art photography, computer art and animation, film, illustration, studio arts and art video.
