Isabel “Izzy” Montaigne

Hi! My name is Izzy Montaigne, and I’m a communication and rhetorical studies major with a minor in political science. I chose VPA because I was drawn to the opportunity to study communication in a small and personable collaborative environment while getting the opportunity to explore many interests across Syracuse University. Through my classes in CRS, I’ve enjoyed learning more about how communication shapes the way we connect with others and understand the world around us.

Outside of academics, I’m involved in Greek life and love spending time with my friends and family. When the weather is nice, you can usually find me and my friends taking long walks around campus or enjoying time outside. Syracuse has given me so many opportunities to meet new people and try many new things.

I’m excited to share my experiences as a VPA student and help prospective students learn more about Syracuse, so feel free to reach out with any questions!
