Ishan Gottam

Hi! I’m Ishan, and I’m an undergraduate student from Los Angeles majoring in music industry. My primary instrument is percussion, and I have spent most of my musical career playing in orchestras. I am currently a member of the Syracuse University Wind Ensemble, Syracuse University Symphony Orchestra and Percussion Ensemble. In addition to being a VPA Ambassador, I am a member of the University’s Gaelic Football team and a member of the Renée Crown University Honors Program.

My favorite thing about VPA is all the faculty and classmates I get to interact with daily. I’ve made some of my best friends in VPA, and the professors are always open to work with you, no matter what you need. I look forward to meeting all of you!
