Jennifer (Jennie) Bowden

Biography

Jennie Bowden earned a bachelor of science degree in business economics, graduating cum laude from SUNY Cortland.

Bowden brings more than 21 years of experience in financial planning, budget administration, operations, procurement and organizational leadership. Her career spans both higher education and financial services, where she has developed expertise in strategic planning, resource management, financial analysis, process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. Throughout her career, she has advanced from banking leadership roles into senior-level administration, overseeing complex budgets, operational functions and strategic initiatives that support organizational success.

As senior director of budget and administration for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, Bowden works closely with college leadership to align financial resources with strategic priorities. She oversees budget administration, financial planning, operational processes, procurement and administrative functions that support the college’s academic mission and long-term goals.

Bowden is known for her collaborative leadership style, commitment to fiscal stewardship and ability to build strong partnerships that enhance organizational effectiveness and drive sustainable outcomes.
