Biography

Gretchen Darrow-Crotty is an instructor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Darrow-Crotty teaches courses in costume technology and clothing construction. She feels very passionately about teaching the next generation of theater artists and fashion designers the technical skills needed to progress in the profession. From basic sewing skills to advanced topics like draping and tailoring, Darrow-Crotty loves to share the knowledge and see students grow.

She is the costume shop manager for Syracuse Stage and Syracuse University’s Department of Drama, leading a team of talented artisans that bring the costume designer’s visions to the stage.
