Biography

Lance Horne is an Emmy award-winning composer, pianist, singer, music director and producer whose versatile career spans Broadway, concert halls, television and film.

His collaborations include an impressive roster of artists such as Alan Cumming, Rufus Wainwright, Liza Minnelli, Kylie Minogue, Pink Martini, Jake Shears and many others, with performances at prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and Lincoln Center. Broadway credits include vocal arrangements for “Little Women” and Regina Spektor on Broadway, while his work extends to albums like “Jake Shears” featuring Preservation Hall Jazz Band and “Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs,” as well as scoring HBO’s documentary “Each and Every Day” and composing themes for the “Ricki Lake” show and Macy’s parade.

A Steinway Artist and recipient of Jonathan Larson, Bistro and ASCAP awards, Horne holds degrees in composition from Juilliard and currently serves on the faculty at Syracuse University alongside Daisy Prince while hosting his ninth year of Mondays in the Club with Lance at Club Cumming. He has performed for President Obama, the First Lady and Queen Elizabeth with Kristin Chenoweth and continues to develop two original musicals while maintaining an active international performance and production schedule.
