Biography

Meri Page is an interdisciplinary artist and curator whose research focuses on artist books, typography, letterpress and the history of print culture. Her creative works are represented in both public and private collections across the United States.

Page has exhibited work nationally and internationally, with recent exhibitions at the Erie Canal Museum, Tropic Bound International Art Book Fair, Codex International Book Fair and the Vienna Art Book Fair. Through the imprint Seaweed Press, she publishes artists’ books that are focused on environmental and botanical themes, memory, and a sense of place.

With over 20 years of professional experience in the design industry, Page has created work for regional, national and international clients. Prior to joining the faculty at Syracuse University, she was an assistant professor of graphic design at Southern Utah University from 2017 to 2019. Previously, she taught as an adjunct professor at San Mateo College, Napa Valley College, De Anza College and San Francisco State University.

Page currently serves as a board member and vice chair for public relations of CBAA the Association for Book Art Education (formerly the College Book Art Association), which supports and promotes academic book arts education by fostering the development of its practice, teaching, scholarship and criticism.
